The National Hot Air Balloon Challenge will be held in Inner Mongolia for the first time.

Dengkou County in Bayannur City has become the first host city in Inner Mongolia for a national-level hot air balloon challenge, filling a gap in the region's aviation sports events. The 2025 National Hot Air Balloon Series will cover four major regions, with the Dengkou station hosting tethered hot air balloon flights, "Crossing the Yinshan Mountains," and other special activities. Its flight camp airspace covers 2,600 square kilometers.
